Vehicles in German City Discovered Covered with Nazi Symbols in Blood, Police State

Authorities mentioned they were alerted by a man who found a car in Hanau covered with reddish liquid

Roughly 50 automobiles have been covered with what seems to be human bodily fluid in the German municipality of Hanau near Frankfurt, as reported by authorities.

Vehicles, walls and postal boxes were marked, in some cases with prohibited symbols, they stated in a statement.

Law enforcement say they were contacted during the night on Wednesday night, when a resident observed that a vehicle in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been covered with a reddish fluid.

The fluid had been placed in the pattern of a banned symbol, they reported.

Law enforcement then found multiple other smeared cars and building exteriors in the surrounding area.

These symbols are illegal in Germany under regulations prohibiting the public exhibition of Nazi-era symbols.

Police say early analysis show the fluid was probably human blood.

"At present there remains no clue as to its source; authorities are presently not cognizant of any physical harm in association with the event," they commented.

Municipal representatives stated they were working "to unravel the mystery" and have requested to the residents for information.

A high-ranking official commented the incident rendered him without words and required to be resolved promptly.

"This incident strikes at the center of Hanau and reawakens the trauma of the extremist violent incident five years ago," he wrote on social media, mentioning the death of nine individuals by a shooter focusing on residents of foreign heritage in five years prior.
